Happy Reading Month
In April, the spring breeze is warm, the campus filled with the fragrance of books. On April 8th, the combined classroom of the Primary School Division was filled with warmth. A unique and touching event of teacher storytelling of children's books was held, during which five teachers took on the role of storytellers, using their voices to convey the charm of books and sharing stories to illuminate children's hearts. They led the children to explore the wonderful world of children's books.
To start with, each child stood upright, with bright eyes full of curiosity and anticipation, quietly waiting for a wonderful journey of storytelling. Meanwhile, their little faces were filled with love and longing for reading. Moreover, five teachers who brought the wonderful narration were also well-prepared, each showcasing their strengths and presenting a variety of captivating stories.
To be concrete, teacher Zhao Jing led everyone to experience 'Traveling Along with the Textbook', during which the children raised their hands one after another to share the beautiful places they had visited.
On the other hand, teacher Jin Ke gently narrated 'The Winnie the Pooh Story Collection', recreating the warm moments of the fairy tales. With childlike language, Jin Ke interpreted the concepts of growth and friendship. Therefore, the entire content was filled with innocent warmth.
Also, when teacher Zha Anqi was passionately narrating 'City South Memories', the children held their breath and listened intently, many of whom frowned slightly, experiencing the warmth of the old times along with the story.
Furthermore, when teacher Wei Jinmeng was telling the story of 'Chinese Mythology', the fantastical plots of 'Pangu Creating the Heaven and Earth' and 'Nvwa Creating Humans' captivated the children's attention, who excitedly stood up and asked questions about the subsequent parts of the myth, raising their hands high.
Last but not the least, when teacher Fang Xin was sharing 'Ancient Chinese Fables', the children immediately raised their hands to share their understanding after listening to the story, who spoke in clear voices, saying 'We should be like the little animals in the fables and correct our mistakes when we make them.' Obviously, the interaction was lively yet orderly.
In conclusion, not only did this teacher-child literature storytelling event fully demonstrate the teachers' solid professional competence and unique teaching style, but also presented the beauty of literature and stories in a vivid and lively manner, allowing children to closely experience it and plant the seed of love for reading in their hearts. Additionally, the event further enriched the campus culture content, created a rich atmosphere of books, and wrote a significant chapter in promoting the continuous development of campus reading culture and helping students grow in the atmosphere of books. Thus, we look forward to students exploring good books in their future studies, stimulating their thinking through reading, accumulating knowledge, and encountering a wiser self!
